POP GOES THE CHAMPAGNE CORK!

Pop! Did you hear that? That’s the sound of corks escaping from champagne bottles all over Australia. But why would so many of us be indulging in the good stuff (in particular, the French stuff)? Say hello to Spring Racing Carnival. Yes there are gorgeous frocks, arty fascinators, cucumber sandwiches, not to mention the horses, but really, it’s all about the bubbles.

Australia has such a gorgeous range of stunning sparkling wines, but it’s so hard to go past a bottle of bubbly from the Champagne region in France. Dom Pérignon, Moët & Chandon and Charles Heidsieck are just a few of our favourite French players. We are particularly enamoured with Charles Heidsieck (nicknamed Champagne Charlie); he saw a champagne-sized hole in the American market, and popularised champagne in the US, to tremendous success.

While we love the humble esky bag (do we? No, not really…), we’ve just released a customised range of wine and champagne carriers (more on these later). Perfect for transporting your drinks in style, you’re sure to be best on field!

The tipple of choice for royalty, noble gentleman, and members of high society, there’s no sound quite as decadent as the pop of the cork and the delicate fizz as the finest of champagne hits your flute (crystal’s even better!). Hedge your bets, ladies and gents, it’s going to be a bubbly spring racing carnival!
