INTERNATIONAL NURSES' DAY

To all of the hardworking nurses around the world, Happy International Nurses’ Day!

Each year, on the 12th of May, we celebrate the importance of nurses and the vital contribution they make to society. International Nurses’ Day is celebrated on Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Who is widely known as the founder of modern nursing and also as ‘the Lady with the Lamp’.

Nurses play a key role in all medical establishments. They are responsible for caring for the sick and injured, aiding in patient recovery and their wellbeing and also helping to bring new life into the world. Specialist anesthetic nurse at Monash Medical Centre, Mr Enache tells Herald Sun that he loves what he does. He says “I spend a quarter of my life here and pretty much love every minute.”

Let’s take today as an opportunity to show how much we appreciate them and the work they do. They might be someone who has taken care of you in the past or a person close to you – a mother, a friend or even a work colleague. At Bockers and Pony, we recommend our beautiful Treasure, the perfect gift hamper for sharing. Chock-a-block with chocolate fudge, delicious almond nougat, rum balls and chocolate chip cookies (my mouth’s watering just typing this!). Together with yummy Charlie’s Mini Melting Moments and decadent Zokoko Fine Dark Chocolate, it will surely put a smile on their face.

Find Treasure here or shop the entire chocolate gift and hamper range here. For any queries, don’t hesitate to call us on 1300 502 340.
